& is one of ye finest in this series of Lovecraft's Work illustrated by Pete ...
By W. H. Pugmire
This is LOVECRAFT ILLUSTRATED volume 6, & is one of ye finest in this series of Lovecraft's Work illustrated by Pete Von Sholly. Artistically, it contains some of the artist's finest work, beautifully reproduced. The end-papers, shewing in pale silhouette a confrontation between human and Old One, is remarkably fine, and a majority of the artwork--some publish'd in two-page centerfold-style, is presented in subdued tones of sepia, blue and green; although there are other various pieces that shew Von Sholly's expertise when working with vivid colour. S. T.'s short Introduction is interesting; but the fascinating aspect of this edition is that it includes the story "In Amundsen's Tent", from ye January 1928 issue of WEIRD TALES, where H. P. Lovecraft read it. The story, by John Martin Leahy, is now thought to have influenced/inspired ye writing of "At the Mountains of Madness". Following the text of Lovecraft's novella, we have "Frozen Fears" by Pete Von Sholly, where he reflects on Leahy's tale and tells of introducing it to both S. T. Joshi and Robert M. Price. This is followed by the complete text of "In Amundsen's Tent," follow'd by essays on ye story by Joshi and Price.

"At the Mountains of Madness" continues to captivate me. As a very young Lovecraftian, I found the story difficult and unexciting. All the science stuff bored me, frankly. Over ye years, returning to it, I found the story more compelling and effective, and my mature fondness for classic Literature helped me to see that the writing and structure of the story is need magnificent. I came to realise the enormous dramatic power of the tale when it was presented as radio drama on a cd in the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society's DARK ADVENTURE RADIO series. It is now a story that I read twice a year, and for which my admiration continues to escalate.

The way a real fairy tale ought to be told!
By Bill
This book is riveting. If you are at all drawn to old-school poetic story telling you will thoroughly enjoy The Stone and the Song. Faroe manages to layer deep metaphor, winsome storytelling, and charming characters together in a magical, timeless realm of dancing statues, gargoyles, and seers. It's the bed time fairy tale we have all been waiting for.
I can't wait to read more from this author.

A Fairy Tale Written Like A Fairy Tale
By J. R. Cardamone
A beautifully written and engaging fairy tale. Ben Faroe's writing captures the characters, environment, and emotions perfectly.

If you are looking for a fairy tale written the way a fairy tale should, this is the book for you. Though it is a quick read it is full of wonder, despair, anger, hope, love, violence, and joy. The author captures his world and lets the reader become immersed within it.

There is also great bonus content with chapters from Faroe's next book which I also look forward to reading and enjoying.

Do your imagination a favor and give this book a read.

"Seek the Company of the Broken"
By Chuck Faroe
The writing in Ben Faroe's fable manages to be simultaneously simple and vivid. Underscoring his theme that "things are not what they appear," his tale thrives on paradox, in particular a band of singing, invincible children. How does a deceptively life-like heart of stone become a heart of flesh - fully human and truly alive? This fairy tale takes us to a land stark and exotic to give us the answer.

WANDERING AROUND IN THE DARK IS NO FUN AT ALL. Each book in this series is a stand-alone. Go on a spooky adventure with Wade and Mira Cullen, two teenagers who stumbled upon a house with a troubled history and a wandering soul.

Thirteen-year-old Mira is very unhappy at home. She hates the way her emotionally unavailable father treats her mother -- a woman who practically worships the ground he walks on.

But things are about to change.

One day, Mira and her brother Wade head out to explore a large, wooded area near their home. They are unaware that their innocent adventure would open up the bowels of history in a most uncanny way.Shortly after their exploration, an uninvited guest invades their personal space. Unsure of what to do, Mira turns to the one source that is bound to have all the answers--a rather unlikely source.

The Plot:

  • Forbidden romance
  • Betrayal
  • A brutal history
  • An unexpected visitor
  • Paranormal activity

Welcome to the strange world of the Cullen family.

Next book in this stand-alone series is 'Revenge of Cornelius' where you meet adorable six-year-old, Rosie, who sees a tall, "friendly" man, but doesn't realize that she's in the pathway of an angry ghost with revenge on his mind.

Enjoy!

Taylor is the potato chip of storytellers!
By Diane Morasco
Taylor pens an alluring tale brimming with action, breathless suspense, deception, robust familial bonds, the heart wrenching grief of long lost love, the restorative faith of love conquers all, and the power of forgiveness. Cornelius is no ordinary paranormal. Taylor’s heart stirring novel breaks the mold and changes the landscape, not only for other paranormal scribes, but every writer in the industry.

Taylor mesmerizes with rich characterization, impeccable world-building, and a charming protagonist in the magnificent Mira Cullen. The entire Cullen family shine luminously. But Mira is the stellar standout.

From beginning to end Taylor will have readers excited to see what happens next. However, this is a story so eloquently written it is worth savoring. And while readers are appreciating this beautifully crafted novel, listen carefully to the stirrings Taylor evokes in your soul. Unequivocally, Taylor is in a class by herself with this novel.

Cornelius propels powerhouse Taylor into the stratosphere with a captivating story laced with heart-stopping suspense.

Cornelius is an absolutely riveting, unique, and a compelling stay-up-all-night read.

Readers be warned: Taylor is the potato chip of storytellers!

The best
By Vampire Angel
When I was younger my Mom used to read me a book until I fell asleep. As I grew older, I began to read myself to sleep. As things changed only one thing stayed constant, my favorite books are still Andrew Lang's Fairy books. The Yellow Fairy book is a collection of 48 fairy tales written the way they were supposed to be written. Each tale ranges in length anywhere from a couple of pages up to about 20. The tales are fairly easy reads, but they don't lose any of their appeal. The book also contains several wonderful illustrations.
Some of the stories include: The Six Swans, Story of the Emperor's New Clothes, The Crow, The Cat and the Mouse in Partnership, The Three Brothers, The Magic Ring, How to Tell a True Princes, Thumbelina, and more.

I would suggest reading this book, I love it!

A bright multicultural selection
By Heidi Anne Heiner
With tales such as The Blue Mountains, The Cat and the Mouse in Partnership, The Dragon and His Grandmother, Fairer-than-a-Fairy, The Flower Queen's Daughter, The Glass Axe, How To Tell a True Princess, and many others how can anyone not find this book fun to read? Once again, Lang edits a book full of fairy tales from many lands that will entertain children and adults. The black and white illustrations are also superb.

Leaving behind the well-knowns for some incredible complexity
By Emily J. Morris
What makes this particular volume of Lang's collection remarkable is its collection of quite unknown stories. While we all love "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Cinderella", there is nothing wrong with venturing for more complex stories, and that is what this volume provides.

I have not researched these, but I am under the impression that many of these stories were actually "written". I'm not sure how everyone will take that threat to oral folklore, but good fantasy is good fantasy, and I enjoy reading a fairy tale-esque story with extra complexity that still holds the same aura.

The illustrations are gorgeous, as usual, and display intricacies that fit the stories superbly.

Perhaps a more wild collection, but for that I love it all the more.

"[...]because he "brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage." This was "the doing of the Lord,"—"the testimony of Jesus Christ." And so it is an important and precious truth to us at the present day.—"The preface to the Ten Commandments teacheth us, that God is the Lord (Jehovah) and our God."—This great historical fact is the controlling motive to acceptable obedience to the moral law. To this, among other truths of the gospel, every faithful minister will "bear witness" with the apostle John. John also bore witness to "all things that he saw," as presented to him in a succession of visions to the end of this book, in view of some of[...]".

Some Curious Interpretations
By Chris Cole
David Steele was an American Reformed Presbyterian missionary among London's Jews in the mid-19th Century. His perspective is historicist and postmillenial. However, unlike most modern postmills, who view the Millenium as referring to the time between the first and second advents, Steele looks for a future, mystical Millenium, ended by the return of Christ. This book is called Notes, because it really isn't an in-depth commentary. Steele asserts his interpretation of the respective verses, with little space devoted to explaining or justifying his interpretations, some of which I found surprising.

For example, Steele interprets the four living creatures of chapter four as symbolizing ministers of the gospel. He explicitly rejects what would seem to be a natural comparison to the living creatures of Ezekiel, who bear the same animal traits. In another case, he explains the "silence in heaven" of 8:1, by claiming that heaven here refers to organized human society. No justification for that interpretation is given, even though it certainly goes against the plain meaning of the word.

I have the large-print edition, which certainly lives up to its name. The print is very large. And even though this is a reprint of a volume from 140 years ago, it is printed in completely modern typeface.

About the Author
Gilbert Keith Chesterton was born in London, England, in 1874. He went on to study art at the Slade School, and literature at University College in London. Chesterton wrote a great deal of poetry, as well as works of social and literary criticism. Among his most notable books are "The Man Who Was Thursday", a metaphysical thriller, and "The Everlasting Man", a history of humankind's spiritual progress. After Chesterton converted to Catholicism in 1922, he wrote mainly on religious topics such as "Orthodoxy" and "Heretics". Chesterton is most known for creating the famous priest-detective character Father Brown, who first appeared in "The Innocence of Father Brown". Chesterton died in 1936 at the age of 62.

Chesterton handles all things well
By not4prophet
G. K. Chesterton is well known as a novelist, essayist, storyteller, poet, philosopher, theologian, historian, artist, and critic. He's less well-known as a journalist these days, yet all evidence indicates that he viewed his work for the various newspapers as his primary raison-de-etre. Therefore anyone interested in exploring the works of this colossal genius should include a sampling of his newspaper columns along with all of his other brilliant books.

"All Things Considered" brings together about thirty columns that Chesterton wrote for the London Daily News in the years before World War I. There's no theme here; as the title suggests, this is a hodgepodge that wanders over everything imaginable. The only unifying thread is high quality.

Chesterton writes about politics. In an essay on canvassing, he ponders some unusual double standards. We mere mortals cannot even offer our fellow citizens food for their vote. Politicians, on the other hand, can allow bribes to run into the stratosphere. We also can't threaten each other. The MPs, however, can threaten the downfall of civilization. Lukring behind this apparent hypocricy is the apparent lunacy of expecting the power-hungry to be the most moral voluntarily, even as the crack down on the rest of us.

Chesterton writes about daily annoyances. While on vacation, he learns that his beloved home at Battersea has been flooded. Far from despairing, he sees it as a chance to look at that home in a new light. Could it be that our daily lives have grown so boring and monotonous that we barely see the things around us at all? Maybe a forced change of scenery is the only thing that can make us look at daily life anew.

Chesterton writes about literature. He ponders a copy of The Eatansville Gazette, a newspaper that's supposed to exist only within the fictional world of Dickens' "Pickwick Papers". Moreover, the imaginary rag was a vile and repulsive publication; why would anyone want to drag it into reality? It seems that two distinct towns are vying to be recognized as the model for Eatansville. In doing so, Chesterton notes, they are trivializing the meaning of the book.

There's lots more considered in "All Things Considered". But while every essay here is amusing and almost everyone is a masterpiece, the selections in this book are by no means higher quality that average for Chesterton's career. Pondering that fact, you may well decide that you have to track down all 4,000 of Chesterton's newspaper columns the minute you finish this little selection.

This is a great book and PERFECT copy!
By Christine Richardson
I bought this with out looking at the reviews (generally they liked the book and did not like the edition), anyway, I wanted to report back that somehow this has been fixed, as this edition is perfect in every way! Fell good to get it, and read GK's views on everything, as he considers 'all things'. Ok, I'm not witty, but I know a good book when I read it! This is it!

Chesterton was a genius, but do NOT buy this edition
By A Seeker
If a publisher is going to reprint a work in the public domain, that publisher can at least go to the trouble of typsetting the book in a readable font, with a readable line width. This edition is simply unreadable, and I am returning it forthwith. The 5-stars is for anyone unfamiliar with these essays, which are exquisitely, vintage Chesterton at his best.

Raging, Joyous Smut
By B. Nommensen
If anyone told me I'd read a Victorian novel in one sitting, I'd have never believed it. My English Lit classes in college would have been so much more entertaining with titles like this. According to some sources, this was supposedly written around 1890, which is unbelievable. It's shocking and disgusting, but also a joyous farce. Every inhibition gives way to the ultimate goal of physical pleasure, and in this book, there's a lot of different ways to achieve that goal. Thankfully, there are no animals involved, but almost every other taboo is broken. It's amusing to read all of the various euphemisms and analogies used to describe the sex in great detail. The whole thing is completely ridiculous, but that's why it's able to be so much fun. And I have to say, there are parts where you forget to be disgusted, and it's pretty hot.

The free Kindle version is also pretty good. If you read this far, you must be curious. It's free love. You've got nothing to lose except your inhibitions.

Victorian-era sex romp.
By CheepReader
The story of a man's sexual trysts with his girlfriend, then her younger brother, and then all three of them together. Explicit sex scenes without the cuss words;
lots of coy, flowery euphemisms of intimate body parts and sexual activities.. oh, yeah, he also gets 'seduced' by the girl's fiance. Not advised for children or people of high moral fiber (easily offended by depictions of moral depravity). Pure trash but I give it the 4 stars for the "poetic language" which I found hilarious.

Provides some insight into the era.
By Jaye
Anonymous Victorian erotic novel from a seriously repressed era fascinated with the idea of incest and sodomy in its erotica. Serial outrageous acts of sexual excess ensue and repeat, ad infinitum, but behind it all, we sense a narrator with a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and a readiness to examine and even parody the peccadillos of a particular time and culture. Savor this
novel for what it is, a glimpse into another era and a confirmation of the unfettered nature of human imagination.

North and South, by Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell

'Edith!' said Margaret, gently, 'Edith!' But, as Margaret half suspected, Edith had fallen asleep. She lay curled up on the sofa in the back drawing-room in Harley Street, looking very lovely in her white muslin and blue ribbons. If Titania had ever been dressed in white muslin and blue ribbons, and had fallen asleep on a crimson damask sofa in a back drawing-room, Edith might have been taken for her. Margaret was struck afresh by her cousin's beauty. They had grown up together from childhood, and all along Edith had been remarked upon by every one, except Margaret, for her prettiness; but Margaret had never thought about it until the last few days, when the prospect of soon losing her companion seemed to give force to every sweet quality and charm which Edith possessed. They had been talking about wedding dresses, and wedding ceremonies; and Captain Lennox, and what he had told Edith about her future life at Corfu, where his regiment was stationed; and the difficulty of keeping a piano in good tune (a difficulty which Edith seemed to consider as one of the most formidable that could befall her in her married life), and what gowns she should want in the visits to Scotland, which would immediately succeed her marriage; but the whispered tone had latterly become more drowsy; and Margaret, after a pause of a few minutes, found, as she fancied, that in spite of the buzz in the next room, Edith had rolled herself up into a soft ball of muslin and ribbon, and silken curls, and gone off into a peaceful little after-dinner nap. But the best feature must be Everyman's uniquely low price. Each Everyman title offers these extensive materials at a price that competes with the most inexpensive editions on the market-but Everyman Paperbacks have durable binding, quality paper, and the highest editorial and scholarly standards.

From the Back Cover
From her home ground, her father's comfortably middle-class living in Hampshire and her aunt's establishment in Harley Street, Margaret is exiled to the ugly northern industrial town of Milton. Surprisingly, her social consciousness awakens. It is intensified by a relationship with the local mill-owner, Thornton, that combines passionate attraction with fierce opposition. The novel explores the exploitation of the working class, linking the plight of workers with that of women and probing the myth and reality of the 'north-south divide'.

Far better the second time around!
By CoffeeGurl
It'd been a long time (a decade or so) since I read this Elizabeth Gaskell classic before I watched the BBC adaptation on DVD and loved it. Rereading this novel was the best decision I could have made because I hadn't appreciated it then the way I did now. North and South captures the social divide and how the manufacturing and trading industries were revolutionizing in the 1850s. Margaret Hale, the daughter of a respectable clergyman, and her family move from the south of England to the industrialized northern town of Milton after her father leaves the church because of his conscience. Margaret is appalled with Milton and the vulgar, uncouth ways of tradesmen and merchants, whom she also sees as uncivilized and cruel. However, will she change her mind after she meets and gets to know the dashing Mr. John Thornton? There are many twists throughout the novel.

I was able to appreciate the romance and building of tension between Margaret and Mr. Thornton now, especially after having watched the BBC miniseries and the wonderful Richard Armitage playing Thornton. Right now, to me, there are four memorable classic literary heroes -- Mr. Darcy, Heathcliff, Mr. Rochester and now Mr. Thornton. He is gentler and not as brooding here as he is portrayed in the miniseries, but he is as compelling as I had remembered him. The last few pages are my favorite, especially this line: "While she sought for this paper, her very heart-pulse was arrested by the tone in which Mr. Thornton spoke. His voice was hoarse, and trembling with tender passion, as he said: `Margaret.' " What a romantic line and I wish it had been added to the miniseries. The ending at the train station in the miniseries is wonderful (if a bit anachronistic), but it would have been even better if the aforementioned line had been incorporated into the scene. All in all, this is one of my favorite Victorian classics. Elizabeth Gaskell isn't quite as known or as celebrated as Dickens or the Brontes, people who had been big friends of hers, according to her biography, but she was a gifted writer in her own right and her talent shows in this wonderful gem which I will reread again in the not-so-distant future.

Surprisingly modern tale of class conflict, management theory, and of course, love
By Amazon Customer
I read the book, like many other reviewers here, after I had watched the brilliant BBC miniseries starring Richard Armitage and Daniela Denby-Ashe. I definitely agree with the comments of many reviewers here that you somehow seem to develop a finer appreciation of the nuances of both after doing that.

A lot of reviewers have covered the ground admirably on the story itself, so I won't go into too much detail on that. In addition to the fine development of plot and characters alike, what I found refreshing about the novel were:

a. Unlike a few other writers of her time, Elizabeth Gaskell focuses a lot more on the thought processes and feelings of the male characters in the novel. For example, you don't get to hear a lot of what Darcy or Edward Ferrars are thinking in Pride and Prejudice, or Sense and Sensibility, except almost tangentially. In sharp contrast, Mrs. Gaskell gives quite a detailed peep into what John Thornton and Richard Hale are thinking, throughout the novel. As someone who is always interested in the differences in thought processes between the sexes, I found this to be refreshingly different from other novels of the time.

b. Being in business, it was quite a new experience to read about John Thornton's evolution first as a business owner and then as a "leader", to use that overused term of today. Mrs. Gaskell appears to have a remarkably sophisticated understanding of both management and labor issues. The examples that stand out in my mind - John Thornton's increasing interest in exploring a better construct for labor-management relations beyond the mere "cash nexus" (towards the end of the novel), and his practice of building what we would call a business case today, as he asks Nicholas Higgins to put some figures together for the new cafeteria.

c. A valuable peep into the mores of the time - for example, despite being fond of Bessy Higgins, Margaret recoils in horror at the thought of visiting her after Bessy's death, a point glossed over in the BBC mini-series, - it gives you a rare insight into things like death and burial customs of the time,.

I must agree with a few other reviewers that the last few chapters seem a little rushed, but from an overall perspective, it is hard to beat this novel for its pure wholesome enjoyment value - more serious and deep than a Pride and Prejudice, and still light enough for people like me who cannot take Thomas Hardy. A definite five stars!

Gaskell's Victorian novel with modern ideas
By V. Gelczis
I agree with a lot that is written in the previous reviews here. Yes, there is a very slow start to this novel. I wonder whether that's because it was first serialized by Dickens, and Mrs. Gaskell was paid by the word. And, yes, the ending is rather abrupt, especially preceded by the last few slow chapters. Maybe Dickens lost his patience.
In so many ways, though, this novel is a treasure. It's not easy to write a political novel with a strong love story and good characterizations. Gaskell takes on quite a bit and mostly succeeds in her task of describing the changes industrialization brought to England. She balances her sympathy for the workers in the factories with the dilemmas posed to the mill owners by new machinery, competition from abroad, and the threats of potential workers' strikes. She contrasts very effectively the excitement of this new way of life against the nostalgia for the agrarian past. These were new concepts in Victorian England, but they are not so foreign today that we cannot readily understand their significance.
She gives us a sympathetic and spirited heroine in Margaret Hale, who is wise beyond her years. Another colorful character is Nicholas Higgins. I found myself looking forward to his scenes because he provides the humor in an almost-humorless book. (It is funny at the end, though, and I would have liked to have seen more of this tone.)
Mr. Thornton is a character we can readily identify with--someone who triumphs over adversity and seeks to constantly better himself. Someone with high standards, yet none higher than he holds himself to. Margaret is his match in every way.
I did see many plot similarities with "Pride and Prejudice" in the love story. We have characters of different class backgrounds who are initially repelled but who come to appreciate each other and are kept apart by misunderstandings and circumstances. The proposal scenes are strikingly familiar, and the first proposal includes almost the same language (re gentlemanlike behavior) that Elizabeth speaks to Darcy. And we have a Lady Catherine DeBourgh character in Mrs. Thornton, who does her best to drive the lovers apart. But I can't fault Mrs. Gaskell for borrowing plotlines from the master. Although Gaskell is a strong writer, she does not quite have Jane Austen's gift for revealing the humanity in her characters with humor and affection. There is not much "fun" and no banter (until the very last lines of the book) in the North and South love story.
There are many plot contrivances and conveniences, too, which compel us to suspend disbelief. A few too many rapid deaths, a character's coincidental presence at a key scene, another character showing up in an unexpected place, and more. But these limitations serve to drive the story and allow us to focus on the strong moral characters of our central characters and our strong wish for their eventual reconciliation.
In the Penguin edition, it is also rather disturbing to find the plot given away in the footnotes. I read the footnotes religiously to orient myself, but I don't understand why they have to mention so many plot occurrences (especially big things like deaths and proposals) ahead of time. So, if you don't want to know how things go, read the footnotes (and preface) judiciously.
OK, I've written a lot of negatives and yet I give the book 4 stars. Despite its flaws, North and South takes on a lot and mainly succeeds. I love its ambition and its great heart. I love that I learned a lot about English history at that particular time. I love that it rewarded me for getting through those first 150 pages with a rich, compelling story. I love that Mrs. Gaskell held my interest to the end. As Victorian novels go, this is surprisingly modern and a worthwhile read.

About the Author
Janine Ashbless is an award winning, multi-published author of erotica and - occasionally - erotic romance. Her first book was published in 2000 and she's written many novels since. She's always used elements of fantasy, mythology and folklore in her writing, with occasional forays into horror. Fierce Enchantments is the third book in her Enchantments trilogy, and it is her second book for Sweetmeats Press.

Janine loves goatee beards, ancient ruins, minotaurs, trees, mummies, having her cake and eating it, and vacationing in countries with really bad public sewage. She's a role-playing geek who can sometimes be found running around in the woods hitting other geeks with a rubber sword. It is unlikely she will grow up anytime soon.

Dazzlingly Imaginative, Powerfully Erotic
By Terrance Aldon Shaw
These ten deliciously diverse stories reveal a vivid, wide-ranging imagination—one is struck by the sheer breadth of author Janine Ashbless’ inventiveness, her natural gift for story-telling honed to acute sharpness with rigorous intellectual focus and well-practiced craftswomanship. Covering all the archetypal bases from folk ballads, myth, legend, and fairytale to futuristic sci-fi, well-researched historical fiction, contemporary horror, paranormal thriller, and post-apocalyptic action-adventure, there’s something for everyone in this wondrously abundant, cerebrally and erotically stimulating, perpetually entertaining collection.

My personal favorites from this outstanding field include “The King in the Wood”, a marvelous glimpse into the life of ancient Rome, where the erotic and the sacred were often one in the same; “Sycorax”, a delectably saucy re-imagining of “The Tempest”, re-casting sweet Miranda as a rather adventurous wild-child; “At Usher’s Well”, based on an old folk ballad (familiar to many from the version recorded by the folk-rock group Steeleye Span in the 1970s) in which the tale of three doomed brothers’ homecoming is related from the point of view of the serving girl who loved them all in life; and “A Man’s Best Friend”, the story of a wandering bard in ancient Imperial China, seeking out the young widow of his fallen comrade, a gorgeously detailed story, told with such familiar ease and poignant beauty that it seems to come alive within and all around us.

Ashbless’ tales are full of lively spins and twists that almost always surprise, yet never fail in retrospect to seem exactly right, as with “Bolt Hole” her steamy, claustrophobic take on the zombie apocalypse; or the portrayal of BDSM-as-PTSD-therapy for emotionally scarred vampire hunters in “The Last Thing She Needs”, or the pleasingly Heinlein-esque “The Military Mind”, in which a squad of futuristic Marines bonds with the aid of a sexy telepath. Turnabout is more than fair play (or foreplay) in “Knight Takes Queen”, where the familiar legend of Arthur, Guinevere and Lancelot is transformed into something that neither Malory, T.H. White, or Lerner and Lowe would ever have thought of, a twist so ineluctably sexily perfect that readers will be nodding their heads even as they sit gape-mouthed, trying to get their minds around what they have just been invited to imagine.

Enthusiastically recommended!

imaginative intelligent sexy
By Pickleplum
Every sexually imaginative woman should try this author. This book is my least favorite of the three "enchantment" books, but still well worth the read. "Cruel Enchantment" and "Dark Enchantment" are my favorite erotic short story collections. "Wildwood" and the illustrated " Named and Shamed" are full length novels also worth reading by this author.
