About the Author
Michael B. Koep has been called an Inland Northwest "Renaissance Man". An avid world traveler, educator, accomplished visual artist and touring rock musician. Michael s spirit is imbued in the arts. He is a co-founder of the North Idaho fencing consortium but, he is best known as a drummer and lyricist for the progressive rock group KITE, as well as the percussionist for the variety trio The Rub. He is the winner of a Costello Poetry Prize.

Came across this title when the author did an impromptu reading at my bus stop one morning in Seattle. The bus was late, so he had a captive audience. I figured, "if he's going to go to that much trouble to sell a book, I'll buy one," and I'm glad I did. Not my usual genre but enjoyed it immensely.

Like a cocktail party in full bloom, you, the stranger, shall jump into the water and discover the characters as they come before you. There are delights to be discovered here. And many surprises. Your journey will begin as a gently moving river in which you immerse yourself in the lives and work of people you might not have expected to encounter. But as your journey continues, be ready to hold onto your life preserver. The story will twist and turn before you like an unexpected whitewater ride, dumping you into a sea of intrigue, mystery and suspense. Along the way, be prepared to audit and ponder your views on philosophy, religion, and your place in the universe. Think bits of Stephen King, Preston & Child, with a bit of Gregory Maguire thrown in, and a touch of William Shakespeare. Very much looking forward to the next book in the trilogy!

holding on to the 5th star.....

I'd give the book five stars, but then the author might feel as if he had no room for improvement...
..honestly, I have read and sort of lived the "unedited" version of this book with the author. We are friends, so I am biased...
I am not much of a reader but this held my interest the whole read.
Congrats to Mr. Koep and I look forward to reading the official edited version as I imagine a major motion picture version in my minds eye...
