The Missing Wisdom for Today's youth

Written in oral language it is a bit difficult to read but provides story telling that has been entirely replaced by our modern technologies such as TV and other hand held entertainment devices. Not that the youth of yesterday were entirely consumed by story telling by their elders, but without these distracting time consuming devices, they were afforded the opportunity to hear their elders intriguing lessons, and thus gain the respect and knowledge life's experiences teaches. I had the grand experiences of learning from only grade school educated or even illiterates who could determine the angle and length of a buildings rafters with a carpenters square with no knowledge of trigonometry and who would plant and harvest their livestock by the zodiac sign. But if the zodiac sign was correct, but temperature was not cool enough, they did not slaughter their livestock, because they knew from life's lessons just the zodiac sign would not save their harvest. And then there was the custom to never drill a water well without a water witcher (person using a peach tree limb with a Y branch) to locate the drilling site and rarely did they not find water and today we use highly technical electronic subterranean scanning devices to guide such efforts. They were entirely self sufficient and could build, can, sew, plant and in an almost totally agrarian way. At our demise we have diminished the credibility of such wisdom and self-sufficient skills.
