A good old book on Farming.

If you are interested in farming, or would like to know what people knew in the field of ag-science during the late 19th century, this book is for you!
It includes the following:
Part 1 - How to grow good roots
Chapters include: origin of root crops, on the origin of sorts of roots, on trueness in sorts of roots, on degenerate roots, effects of growing from degenerate roots,on seeds, about root veggies - esp. turnips.
Part 2 - growing good grasses
Chapters include: nature of meadows & pastures, species of meadow grasses, on meadow plants other then grasses, weeds, irrigated meadows, making permanent pastures, managing lawns & pastures.
Part 3 - how to grow good clovers - this covers all things clovers & why they're good for pastures, meadows & lawns.
Part 4 - how to grow good corn - This covers the science of growing corn, wheat, oats, barley, as well as pests & diseases of these crops.
Part 5 - is all about how to grow & maintain "living fences" & hedgerows.
Part 6 - how to grow good tember talks of the care & maintenance of trees such as oaks, chestnut, walnut, elm, ash, beech and other trees.
Part 7 - is all about how to make an orchard
